Managing Email Using Mimecast for Outlook
The Digest Email
The IT Department has created policies to ensure messages containing potential junk / spam content, or specific attachments aren't delivered directly to your Inbox.
Instead they are held in a quarantine area, called the Hold Queue.
You can view and control these messages, without having to contact your administrator, by using the automated digest sent to your Inbox. The frequency of the digest is controlled by your administrator and displays a summary of your messages in the Hold Queue. If there are no messages in the Hold Queue, you'll not receive the digest.
Mimecast for Outlook
With the Mimecast portal, employees can search and view mail archive, report potential spam, manage blocked and permitted senders and send secure messages
You can mark mail as Spam or Block Senders directly from your Outlook Inbox by right-clicking to pull up the menu. At the bottom of the list of actions you’ll see the Mimecast options.
When you choose to Report Spam or Block Sender the email will automatically be removed from your Outlook Inbox.
